Harry Miller - Custom Textiles
Harry Miller Company was founded in 1910 by immigrant and entrepreneur, Harry Miller. Recognizing that the sails on the ships entering Boston harbor were often damaged during their transatlantic voyage, Harry Miller set up a sewing facility to repair the torn sails.
Over a century later, HMC has evolved into a leading manufacturer of canvas, fabric and web products for industrial, commercial and military use. Utilizing its multiple facilities and a vast network of suppliers, HMC also offers sourcing, shipping and warehousing solutions, as well as custom metal and plastic fabrications.
Headquartered in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, Harry Miller Company is certified by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) as a HUBZone business. In 1998, the United States Congress established the SBA HUBZone Program to encourage economic development and job opportunities in neighborhoods that are designated as historically underutilized.
HMC was recently honored by the Urban League of Massachusetts for the company's role in the economic development of Roxbury. Over the past decade, we are proud to have employed hundreds of workers from Roxbury and surrounding neighborhoods.
